10 Month

Javan is 10 Month old as of 18 Nov 2008. In another 2 months time, he will be a toddler and no longer a baby! Missed the New Born Javan....Gonna missed his baby days real soon...
Have been thinking a lot recently on Javan's 1st year old birthday celebration, not sure if we really want to have a celebration. If yes, What's will the theme be? But it's definitely a must for a photo studio taking! Have shortlisted one. Looking forward to his phototaking session and had even bought him some outfit and of course not forgetting our (Chiang) family tees.

Javan's Development
Daddy spotted another sprouting tooth on his lower left gum last fri on 14 Nov. Javan has a total of 5 teeth.

Javan's crawling:
Javan has just started to creep..
He has been doing leopard crawl for quite some time. We would never expect him to be able to do anything more than that as the PD commented that some babies will not change their crawling style and may remain on the style till they walk. Though it's not crawling but we are happy to see the progress on Javan. Hope to see him crawl on 4s soon..

What does creeping means? Extracted from the web:-

"Creeping--that is, when your baby begins to drag himself across the floor with his arms--can begin any time between five months and one year.

Because normal, healthy babies begin creeping and crawling at such widely different ages, it doesn't make sense to talk about delayed crawling. It also doesn't make sense to try to make your baby crawl earlier - in the long run, it simply makes no difference to her later motor development."

Having 4 milkfeed of 180-230ml per day with 2 meals of porridge and some snack in between- i think!

We have brought him to Macdonalds for breakfast and feed him with hotcakes and scramble egg...he loves it..

Weekend-HT Outstation (Sun)

Another update for today.
Managed to change Javan's BJG class to 11.30am to 12.30pm as the usual 2.30pm is his napping time and he's usually cranky when we brought him there.

Today lesson started late, about 15mins late and towards the end, Javan was a little tired. But in all, he's doing well today. He did all parts well except the crawling and the colourful blanket. Crawling was because he was a little tired and when he's tired and we place him on his tummy, he would usually get upset. while the colourful blanket, the teacher ask him to lie on it but he flatly refused and almost cry at an instant. This is the first time that he was introduce to that, not sure why he got so frightened off!

Reached home at about 1.30pm and feed Javan porridge. He was very happy and seems satisfied with the porridge and had his 2.5 hours napped. I rested too!

After he woke up and had his milk feed, I brought him to lot 1. Bought some grocery and his milk powder and my dinner. While we were at NTUC cashier queueing for checking out some items, Javan almost has his hand on everything...Gosh, did not realised till one lady turn his head over, little darling is pulling her basket!!

Weekend-HT Outstation

Wrote the below yesterday-8 Nov but the site was down....

Finally set aside some time to pen down some thoughts on Javan’s blog and also to update how I take care of Javan while HT is outstation for 1 whole week.
First of all, I would say Javan has been very very well behaved. At least for the last 2 days and today. Keeping fingers cross on the next few days. Hopefully he knows that papa is not around and mama will have a hard time if he does not cooperate.

Every weekday, my routine is pretty much the same in the morning. I will let Javan play on his ABC mat 30 mins after his first milk feed, then I will start to clean up myself. This few days Javan had cooperated fully, he did not make any noise when I placed him there and told him mummy need to get ready and bring him out to aunty place. Of course occasionally I need to watch out incase of any danger as we did not child proof our house yet.

Evening routine will be different without HT around. I will go for my super fast dinner, got to finish up in 10 mins or so and reached nanny’s place at 7.10pm. Then bring Javan back and play with him till 8pm-“supper” milk feed. Reason that I choose to have my dinner first then fetch back Javan is because I feel that this bonding part is extra-important since it’s the end of the day (before he goes to bed) and without daddy at home, and I want him to know/feel mama love him and really cherish the little bonding time that we had together. So would normally watch him play/play with him and practice his pull to stand skill.

Without HT around, I’m most worried about myself getting sick…ha….I will not skip any meal and try not to take heaty stuff. Ironically, yesterday I ended up finishing a packet of chilli potato chip after my Laksa dinner. Feel so guilty after I finished up the whole packet. Guilty not so much about putting on weight but scaring of falling sick and ruining our weekend.

Without another pair of hand, everything needs to be planned. Planning things like what to do first, what to do next, what is more important, for washing of stroller, washing of hankies, washing of milk bottles, my shower time, etc…… that is only for weekday evening task. The task list continues on weekends…..but still manageable I would say, will not have any extra time to laze or own time to surf net.
PS: this is the first "ON the PC after so many days"....Quite an achievement though!! A pat for myself!
Thanks to nanny and SIL for volunteering in helping out!!! Appreciate their nice and thoughtful gestures.

Today I follow nanny’s routine and found it manageable for myself and better for Javan. It will not confuse him since he is used to nanny’s routine. Brought Javan to his grandma house after his lunch-porridge. Javan took his nap there and his dinner- porridge till we came home. He only napped for 1 hour so on the journey home, he was yawning away on the train but he did not ask mummy to carry him even though he is tired. What a GOOD BOY!! Reach home and gave him milk and put him into his sarong. Less than 10 mins he was in his dreamland…Zzzz…………..

Updates and Baby Jumper Gym (BJG)

Had been to busy to blog what is happening to our dearest little darling. Firstly, will be updating on his cough and flu. Thanks God that he had recovered from cough and flu last weekend.

Secondly will be updating on the the little crawler class at BJG. Two weeks ago, Javan went for his 9mth jab so we did not let him attend his 2nd lesson. On last Sat-1st Nov, we brought him for his make up lesson. He was not in his best of mood as his nap time was not his usual napping time. We have planned to let him napped for at least 2 hours but unexpectedly he woke up after 1 hour, which is so unexpected. His usual nap time will be 2 hours after we bath him. That was the reason why he could only concentrate for about 20 minutes. But he really did concentrate on the first 20 minutes. He did his flash cards pretty well and we were impressed and amazed!! Well done little Darlin!!
Comng to the gym part, he was crankly, wanting to zzzz....so we had no choice but to miss the rest of the gym exercise.

So last sun-2nd Nov was his 3rd lesson, again not in his best mood!!Again he manged to almost complete his flashcard session but not the gym part again. Hmmm....guess ive to change his napping timing. Will definitely put in more effort this coming sun. Hoping that he will enjoy his 1 hour lesson. Managed to take some picture of Little Javan.
