Weekend at Marina Bay Sand

We went Marina Bay (EW??) as requested by Javan. He has already completed a series of MRT stations. I will try to consolidate and post on my blog. Nevertheless, we got to Marina Bay Sand and got to see the Light and Water Show before we headed for home. It was our first time there. Javan likes it there. He enjoyed himself too! He even demanded to buy candies when we went in 1 of the shop.

Frightening Ordeal

Last Saturday morning HT went for a haircut. Javan and i were alone at home. This "Little Terror" told me he wanted to open the door and wait for Daddy. So i went with him to open the door. Thot it will be safe to leave him there (at the door area) since we have install front gate and planter grill while I make cereal in the kitchen. Less than 2 mins, i heard him cried for me. Gosh..his head was stuck in between the planter grill and the wooden door. I tried to move his head but it was totally unmovable. How did his head get stuck!!!! Luckily i thot of the key and bring in to open the sliding grill. At last his head moved together with the sliding grill.
It leaves his head with some mark which were then gone.

*a little terror: nowaday he do things just to get our attention..climbing on top of our dinning table, going into toilets, disturbing daddy laptop, disturbing strangers...etc...ect...*

Years.....

Last night while on Youtube, Javan wanted to search for Monday-Sunday and January-December.
He type in "monday" (on his own) on the search, so i tell him, he should key in "days on the week" in order to see Monday-Sunday...
He also type in "January" (on his own) on the search area, again i tell him, he should key in "months of the year" in order to see January-December.
Well, he enjoyed the days and months songs very much. not so much of the songs but seeing the different days and months wording are what he enjoyed most.

So..he asked for "2011, 2012, 2013, 2014....." it's the YEAR in case nobody understand! just like me!! haa...
He was somehow fedup when nobody understand and he cannot find the years when he type in "2011201220122014...." I think he cannot understand why the days and months can be found, BUT why not the YEAR?

*Javan told me, in 2012, he will be 4 yr old, 2013, 5 yr old, 2014, 6 yr old...*

Months of the Year

Kudos to our Javan. He's able to spell Jan to Dec on his own when we ask him to. *We did not let him learn this, he knew/memorise it on his own* Again he learn by painting/writing the months of the year daily (We hold his hand). For now, he loves to listen/watch mon-sun and jan-dec song on youtube. He able to do a key in a search on his own. He follow word for word on the puzzle "Days of the Months"

Zoo

We brought Javan to Zoo during this March 2011 school holiday. It's school holiday coz Javan has officially attended a pre-school now.
He also been counting down to this 15 March 2011 since we told him about this trip.
We bought ticket as this was a trip organised by our "neighbourhood club".

Our First destination was - Breakfast with OrangUtan (8.20AM). It's a sumptuous buffet breakfast. Javan had his fairshare of breakfast though he had his milk at around 7+AM.

He has been refusing to get out of his stroller. But was willing to get on this turtle. It resemble 乌龟妈妈, in one of his favourite chinese story book.


He said that Barney, BJ and Doraemon are at the Zoo (he has been watching Barney at the zoo). we missed the reptile show as Javan was fussing to see Hippopotamus, Squirrel, Zebra, Elephant, Giraffe...animals that he knows.


Lastly was the waterplay....

Days of the Week

Writing

Javan has been writing alot nowaday, he loves to write, esp numbers...
He can finished tracing a book on 2 days/session of writing.
He can also write some numbers and letters on his own (without tracing).
He wrote 1404 (our unit number) on his own last night, it's pretty legible. The rest was probably written by Daddy. The only thing is that he still doesnt hold a pencil correctly.

Gathering

A gathering with HT "old friends" - Nelson return to SG at Mr Low's house. Thanks Mr and Mrs Low for hosting, with lots of nice vegetarian food, been hoon, fried rice,curry, fried dumpling....etc...
And of course Javan was excited to go. He has waited and waited, finally he get to go xuan yu ge ge and Xuan Ru jie jie house at Seng Kang (Renjong LRT). He was looking forward to Mrs low mouthwatering fried rice. He tried it and remembered it after he tasted it few months back.

Love this pictures of Javan in Legging :-D
Daddy put on this legging for Javan after i searched high and low for this, for my colleague.
I dig out (using a ladder) the legging that I bought for Javan when he was barely 6 months old. A pity that we did not let him wear it.

Puzzlesss...

Currently this 2 boxes (Food and Month puzzle) are Javan's favourite puzzle.
Month puzzle-He's able to do/remeber very well though i only play twice with him and frankly i cannot remember the picture to the month as there's no hint at all. But to my surprise Javan can remember all the 12 pictures very well (doesnt need help).
For the food puzzle, he need some help from us.
We realised that if there's wording, he can do it. Eg. A-Z, 1-10 puzzle, month.
But he's still doesnt do picture puzzle well (need our help/hint).

Days of the Week

Last night when i asked Javan How you spell: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
And BINGO!!! He can spell all correctly. Im surprise coz we did not teach him or ask him to spell before that. I guess this is why he can remember (see picture).

Everyday he would pester us to let him have the colours and write Monday to Sunday (we hold his hand).
He will insist that Daddy tell him what are the monday to sunday colour that he should be writing with. He knew the colour! Once Daddy said it wrongly, he will protest and keep asking again and again till Daddy tells him the correct colour (stubborn!)
Mon-Blue, Tue-Green, Wed-Orange, Thurs-Purple, Fri-Pink, Sat-Yellow, Sun-Red.



He said "Teacher say, today is 1 March 2011 (Two Thousand Eleven), Tuesday"
