Sight Words

My Amazing boy is able to read the list of 220 sight words and 95 Nouns on his own.
Most words are new to him, we are amazed that he is able to read it correcly on his own.
There's one word, "both" that he's unable to articulate well yet. When he's reading "both"..i knew that he's not reading correctly, so i ask him to read again. And i ask him to look at my lips when reading to him. But the sound came out is exactly what he's reading to me. So i know that he's infact reading correctly, but unable to articulte the correct sound.
Anyway almost all words (more than 95%), he's reading well on his own.
My amazing boy did not attend phonics lesson and we did not teach him phonics at home, yet he can read so well (at least to me)before 4 years old (3 year 9 months). We are indeed so PROUD of him.

Saturday Nightout

Just to end the "not visited" stations on the Circle Line, we brought Javan to the 3 stations as his request.




We went viviocity after all the 3 stations.


Javan participated in "the Drypers family time games"


To pick up the fruit/veggie on the list all by himself.
He even show Jie Jie that he can dance




Daddy choose a song for him to dance on the stage, he was not shy after all!

Numbers...

Just few weeks ago, i taught Javan numbers in words.
So i test him if he understand...



He took this writing board on his own, recite and writing down on his own, one hundred..two hundred......one Thousand...
Did not expect him to count and write till one thousand though he can count in 5s and 10s.

Sensitive Eyes

Found these pictures very cute. He looked very chubby with this pant.
Javan told me he's having sensitive eyes and it's painful.
So i took these pictures before going to him.

Pretend Play

Since last week, Javan has been spending lots of time playing with his toy kitchen and food. He said he wanted to be 干妈 and he is eating ice-cream like 大姐姐
and 小姐姐.

He's cooking for his bears and Gruffalo, he feed them like what 干妈 is feeding him.
He feed them milk too and record their feeding on the record book (like what we did).
Lastly he never forget to cook for himself.
His re-enactment of his daily "activity".

Nursery Orientation 2011

Happy Children's Day 2011

Javan has been sick on this year Children's Day. But has recovered! (This is a back dated post)
Ive been hesitating to give him this Children's Day present. PD has diagnosed him as having sensitive nose.
After much thoughts i gave this to him (coz it's the main character of his fave storybook) but i warned him that he's not allowed to sniff or go near the Gruffalo else Gruffalo will bring him to the "Deep dark Wood or the Gruffalo will get angry". I have been keeping it away till he asked for it. Bring it out but keeping a close look out.
So far, he's quite cooperative.

Just realised that he's wearing the same tee as last year Children's Day

He can read it all by himself.

Circle Line

Today is the circle line discovery for all the rest of the unopened circle line. About 12 more stations.
The stations gantry are opened till 6pm today. So that means we do not have to pay for rides between Marymount to Harbourfront.
We started from Buona Vista MRT .We brought Javan to Botanic Garden, Caldecot, Farrer Road and Haw Par Villa Stations. He enjoyed very much. Especially at the Botanic Garden, Jacob Ballas Garden water play area.
He has been waited for this day to travel on the new circle line stations.

PS: He could easily tell us the station names (Existing and New Stations) eg. CC19 when we asked: what's station number for Botanic Garden?
Many times, we asked him, which platform side to take to this/that stations, he could easily tell/guide us to the correct platform :-)

Javan even refused to leave the water play area. We shall bring him again.
