First Dental Visit

Javan had his very first dental visit today (4 Years 10 mths). After which I realised that his first few front teeth were loose (when i try to move it).

I found this dental which is quite child friendly according to some forummer. It's a chain at Fajar S.C from smile works. The lady dentist (Dr. Yvonne Yap) was really very reassuring. Especially when Javan asked her, what time will you finished? "Im scared". Which he also told the dentist not to put anything in his mouth. The dentist was nice, she promised Javan that he will not do anything except a mirror to check his teeth.

The dentist had the teeth checked very quickly which i feel that she's trying to give Javan a good impression of visiting a dentist.

After the checking, dentist said that the loose teeth indicate that he may drop his milk teeth earlier. The norms are ard age 5 plus to 6 plus. No cavity found. All are well. The gaps in his teeth are ok too.

So the dentist told Javan that he has to try his best to brush his teeth, Which Javan received a sticker "Try your best" from the dentist.

No cleaning was done. Hopefully he will be ready for another dental visit soon.

Favourite Story

This is one Javan's favourite story for September. He loves stories that associate with "THE BIG BAD WOLF" and apparently Daddy has became his "大灰狼"

BMW!

It's now Javan's dream of owning a BMW.

It happen abt 2-3 wks ago.
Out of nowhere, he told us that he wants to buy a grey car. Not sure where he gets this idea. We do not mention about cars, we do not drive.

So this week, he started looking at car when we passed by the carpark. I took the chance to tell him the car makers' name. He can remember most of it. In the morning we would pass by the carpark before sending him to Godma house. He recognises and say out loud the cars makers name. So he ask me "为什么没有BMW?" I replied that, Oh BMW is too expensive, not everyone can afford it. He told me that he likes it and want to drive BMW. So i took this chance to tell him that in order to drive a BMW, he must workhard, get good result, have a good job that earns so then he can drive a BMW. And for now, he need to read more books.

Yesterday, he started read books, and told me again that he wants to read more books now, next time he wants to buy a BMW when he grow up.

I blog this down, incase i forgot his high aim of owning a BMW. Hopefully i can show him when he's older.

Pretend Play

Javan pretending to be 干妈

Pretending cooking the Pot on the charcoal stove

Pretending using the pump out detergent to wash hand

Number - Block Number

Started this year J has suddenly like to see and remember the unit number of the shops at Yew Tee Point. Everyday he would try to get Daddy to Yew Tee Point to see the unit number. Till now he has remembered all the unit number for each different shops (or at least 90%) in Yew Tee Point and also the unit number of the shops in our estates.
Whenever we go Lot 1 or other shopping area, he would ask to go to the directory.
I took the below pic, hoping that he will look at the pic instead of going there!

I think he has reverted to his old habit of looking at block numbers again.
See, he uses Poster colour for the past 3 nites writing the block numbers.
He said he dunno how to write, insisting on us holding his hand to write but he dictate what block number to write.
