Separatation Anxiety or Cranky?

Javan's fever had subsided since last friday! But the cough seems to get worst, this morning at 4+am, he was coughing so badly in his sarong. His cough is accompanied by so much phlegm, so much that he we can hear his phlegm when he's having his milk. Initially our planned is to bring him to Kidslink this evening after work, but then decided to bring him to PD asap seeing him coughing so badly. So afraid that it may lead to bronchitis or it may block his airway.

Javan is especially sticky to me this few days, probably because he is feeling unwell or because he has separation anxiety? since it peak at around 10 month?

This few days Javan had been crying and wanted to be carried constantly. It's really really break our hearts whenever we see the teary Javan, this is nevertheless the part and parcel of parenthood that is also accompanied by sleepless nights, tantrums, and endless childhood illnesses.....

"A love that takes over....The love of a parent for a child"

Brought Javan to Kidslink to see Dr Winston in the morning after his "pom pom" and his morning milk feed, he had been drinking little milk this few days, this morning milk feed was not so bad, managed to finished 190ml after bathing him. It's was such a long queue that we waited for 2 hours and little Javan was so cranky and tired when it's his turn to consult PD. Pd tried so hard to listen to Javan but he's crying and moving away..finally managed to calm him down using a squeaky toy.

Finally PD said Javan chest is clear..which means no infection/virus attack, so relieved to hear that...Only need medication for the rest of the few days and will recover...

Just fetch Javan back from nanny's place and little darling is on the road to recovery, less crankier, less crying baby. His milk intake hasnt gone back to his usual. He refused his dinner porridge. Well, at least he took porridge for his lunch.

Nanny fed him his medicine and we just let him has his milk and then zzzzz......

Daddy and mummy hope to see Little darling recover soon

Fever Again!

Javan is down with fever since wednesday evening, this time round his fever comes together with flu and cough. Realised that his flu has been on and off but not the serious kind, always thought that the flu may not be the real flu coz he only has it after he cry. On second thoughts, he may have caught other virus and triggered the flu. This time round quite bad. Was quite bad this morning especially when and after he cried. The virus maybe from TMC PDclinic since we brought him there for his jab last sat. But it's been 3 days after his visit to TMC that the fever comes?? Im not sure!!??

His cough seems pretty bad at times especially when he cough with phlegm. Worried that the phlegm may block his airway. When feeding him milk, he cant take it very well, it seems like the phlegm is thick and blocking. Though nanny and me have been feeding him cough mixture but the phlegm do not seems to get better ^_^

He sleep loudly at nite too, making us especially worried..worrying and sleepless night....nevertheless milk intake has dropped too! Not too worried about the milk intake coz he's still very active and can be playful when he's not cranky. Recommended milk intake for his age should be 500-600ml and i think he would have hit it, his usual can be up to 700ml + with 2 porridge meal.

Since thursday morning, Javan has been waking up very early and crying. Had to pacify him this few morning, give him his very early milk feed and his medication. Today he only had a total of 400ml of milk feed :-(

He's fever seems to subside, keeping our fingers crossed!!Hope to see him back to his usual self, had already planned for weekend program, hope all goes well as planned........

First Lesson at Baby Jumer Gym (BJG)

Wow..!! It's our darling's very first lesson at BJG. He was very active on the way, keep babbling his baby's language. We were there at 2.35pm, 5 mins late. Javan had his usual 2 hr nap and his porridge before setting off to BJG. However the porridge can only suffice him at most for 2 hour. And true enuough, he whined for milk at 3.15pm, 15 mins before his first lesson ended.

The lesson started him with flashcard/encyclopedic knowledge/mathematics (Dots card)..etc....not forgetting Gym...
He can concentrate at the flashcard session. Probably ive been flashing to him since 3mth plus. Well, most of the time. Though not everyday, Lazy Mummy!!
The eye training, he can followed very well.
Coming to Music and movement, he appeared very happy and excited till the teacher introduced the maraca. He started to cry and refuse to hold the maraca. Not sure why he's afraid of it. Probably of the sound/noise?? Not sure, hope he will enjoy it the next round. he other bells he was quite ok.

Then comes the last part. Baby Gym, Javan was taught how to crawl and doing arms stregthening exercise on the monkey bars. He's not enjoying coz it's really time for milk and mummy had been ignoring, hoping he could finished his lesson then milk. Too bad, he cant forget that "IM HUNGRY". Try it the next lesson.

Not forgetting that babies that were there: Ashton, Javier, Lucas, Kimberly and Javan

Conclusion:
Was Javan Enjoying his class??
Yes, very much indeed! Didnt know that he enjoy it so much. When he sees so many of his peers, he jumped happily, smile and babbling again. That's why we decide to sign up for the 10 lessons.
Will update and post picture of the next session..stay tuned...

First Children's Day

1st Oct 2008 marked Javan's First Children's Day. No special celebration for him yet. Shortlisted some places but decided not to go yet. Hope to bring him to some outing soon.
Nevertheless, it's still some kiddy holiday, so we managed to bring him out to woodlands Causeway Point.
Javan fall asleep halfway through and Daddy and Mummy finally had our first dinner outside with him...threesome..This year children's Day marked our first dinner!!:-)
Though it's BK, it's good enough!

New hobby

Just realised that Javan has been biting his feeding spoon for quite some time and most of the spoon seems out of texture.. it become so rough that we need to change. Could be due to teething, at least 2 are on the way, may erupt anytime. Other than biting spoon to ease his itch gums, he has been biting other things that are insight. Hope this teething period wil be over soon. His gums seems so swollen!! Hope the milk refusal episode will not come back again.... :-|

Some cheeky picture of our little precious biting off the spoon during his lunch feed
