Javan is drinking from bottle again...Finally.....

Feel like blogging this coz we are really OVER THE MOON!!!

Yeah, Javan is finally drinking from his Avent milk bottle again. Ever since he is teething, he has been refusing to drink from the bottle. For about 2 months already. We have to spoon feed him when it's milk time. It's kinda troublesome especially when we are outside. We need to bring a bowl, spoon and toy or flashcard to entertain him so that he will finished his milk. Even he's drinking 230ml as usual but he seeems to drink lesser as compare to milk bottle. Inevitably, some milk are spilled. Every morning and evening, mummy will do the feeding and Daddy will do the flashcard. So, we need 2 to let Javan drink. Needless to say, Nanny will feel same as us. Thus, we really missed the time where he can finished his milk in the bottle and frankly we are not so hopeful coz even PD said that he may not drink from bottle again. Most toddler are weaning off bottle and are drinking from straw bottle/sprout. We've tried to let him drink from straw but he will stop at every sip so we are not hurrying into this.

How we discovered?? Last Saturday, while rushing out to mum's place. Ive forgotten to bring out Javan's and i tried to let him drink from his Avent bottle. To our surprise, he does not reject and drink lots of water from his milk bottle. Since it's milk time, we tried our luck again, and YES!!! He is really drinking from his milk bottle, He finished his 230ml of milk in 4 mins without fuss!

Regarding his teething growth, he is a little slow especially for his first molar.
Javan's teething growth:-
7 lower teeth have erupted (Incisor/Cuspid are out, only left first molar is out)
6 upper teeth have erupted (Incisor are out/Cuspid-cutting)

18 Month

Our little baby has grown into an official toddler as of today. And YES, it's another set of new challenges for us. A 18 months old toddler is so different from a baby. He gets around by walking and runs most of the time. He is able to understand simple instructions and he likes to be praise for his good behaviour and accomplishment. Things that he can do, we praise him and there he goes, one more time one more praise again. He throw tantrums/cry easily when he cannot get what he wants. Still has separation anxiety, likes to cling to mummy.

Napping time changed

Javan is going into his 18 months (1.5 yrs) in another few days time.

His napping time seems to have change. Maybe it's because he nap differently during weekend and weekdays when he is at nanny's place. Last Sunday, he woke up late (8am) so we thought of letting him nap in the late afternoon when we reached grandma's place. When we let him nap, it was 3.10pm and he managed to nap for about 2 hours.

Or is it because he is truning 18 month in few days time and he readjusted his nap time himself as Vernice did it this way too.....

And on Monday onwards he started to nap only once, in the morning at nanny's place. But he managed to keep himself awake till 9pm (after his milk feed).

Yesterday, guess he was too tired..KO in about 10 mins after we left him in the play yard. Did not even have his milk feed.

Javan likes to push toys around. So Daddy bought him a shopping trolley and he likes it. He enjoy pushing around the house.
He can pass Mummy fruits like orange/pineapple/grapes/banana/milk...accurately when being asked to.

Weekend-Saturday

It been sometime since my last entry. HT said that ive not update for quite some time. So here i am! Will update some of Javan's playing habit and our last weekend event in 2 different post!

This is Vernice, She is Aunty 'Middle's' daughter, she is 1 month and 8 days 'earlier' than Javan. They are born in different year.
