Playtime

Megabloks-Get more interested in Megabloks, especially those that have 1-10. Used to be able to stack only 2-3 and he stopped. He's now able to stack till this tall, with mummy holding the base to prevent it from falling.
When i get out my camera and he started to pose, after that he run to me to view the taken pictures.

Playing with Daddy's face.
Poor Daddy has lotsa scratches from Javan. He scratches Daddy when he's angry/frustrated/excited.
Stopped only when we tell him that Daddy is bringing him kaikai. Will give Daddy a sweet kiss after that

Getting more and more adventurous/Mischievous?

23 Month

Towards the end of Javan's 22 month, the following are his "Little Achievement"
And today Javan is 23 months old!

Little Achievement
-Started half day childcare. Some hiccups but overall Mummy is quite satisfied and feels that he's adapting well.
-Getting better and better with commands expecially in english
-Getting more and more protective towards his belongings (maybe at the childcare only!)
-Able to recognise 1 - 10 (think also 11 and 12). When being asked to pick up the correct number at random, Javan is able to get it correct. Whenever he sees no. he will get excited and point it to us, asking us to read that number to him.
-Able to sort shapes on a shape sorter correctly (Square/cicle/star/triangle) and on a wooden knob puzzle (9 shapes with different colours). When he was about 10 months, he's only able to sort cicle. We kept it away and only let him play recently. He's able to sort it correctly now.
-Able to recognise triangle, cicle, square
-Able to turn the door knob at home, rooms and main door. Guess he's not the stay at home boy this month. He keep opening the main door, asking us to bring him out.

Other than the above.
He has not been sleeping well, could be he's still adapting to the childcare schedule. We hope that his temper tantrum will improve (At least not that regular). He will whine/cry if we do not let him have his way. Hope that the T2 will not be that bad too!

Hello...Im almost 2!

Phuket Trip

We are safely back from this trip..

3Days 2 nights trip seems more like a week to me.

What had happened?? It goes...

Day 1: We took a cab from our place to Airport (West to East), and this is the first time whereby Javan is travelling for such a distance, from west to east journey. We did not expect/predict that he will have motion sickness..at least not on an 22 month toddler. Well...never anticipate at all!!!

His started to puke after travelling for 3/4 of the journey. Though we have some plastic bags with us but we still did not standby them readily as we really did not expect that. Well, possibility could be due to the shaky taxi ride and the still air in the taxi. When reaching Airport at 11am, we had a almost "heavy" bag as Javan vomitted few times. We even threw away his hanky which is all stained. Our bags and our shorts are not spared. Thought of not going at the very last minute, but we are assured from colleague that the pharmacy has the medication for motionsickness and that's what moves us on. Fed Javan some cereal at the terminal and bought him motion sickness wristband too. We had our lunch too. Javan sleep on the plane for 1 hour and we that make us more relieved. He woke up halfway through the journey. Saw his queasiness/fussed but well..at least no vomitting at all. Took 1 hour to reach from Phuket Airport to Nai Harn, Gem Stone Villa. When we reached, no sign of "sickness" on Javan, kind of relieve for us. He play and eat happliy. This time round the dog (Milo) and the sliding door caught his attention. We settle dinner at one of the restaurant beside the beach and settle Javan for his dinner. Javan had his pigeon baby food and we had oyster, prawn, crayfish....coconut....

Day 2: Am still worried about going back journey as we need 1 hour--> 2 hour --> 1/2 hour. Decided to give it a miss on Day 2. Going to stay at the villa with Javan while bosses went golfing and the rest had lunch out and shop at Patong Beach. At least Javan got to nap at the villa for 2 good hours and i had my home cooked lunch by the maid there. Quite tasty and delicious soup with rice. We took some picture together. Javan play with water in the evening and followed by a POM POM. We had BBQ at the villa prepared by the housekeeper/maid...BBQ squid, chicken wings, Pineapple rice, fried kway teow, fish and lots more..

*Family/Friends: Sorry that we do not have the mood/time to shop for souvnier*

Day 3: Left the Villa at 7pm, flight at 10am. Keeping my fingers cross. But thankfully to the wristband. No sign of motion sickness at all.

Most of us fall sick on the 2nd/3rd day of this trip excluding our 2 Japanese special guests. hmm...had the worst diahorrea in my life.

Phuket-Gemstone Villa (pre-Departure)

Tadaa...We are all Geared up for our Phuket Trip this coming sat (3days 2 night). This marked the first trip for Javan. Packed up a real big suit case for the 3 of us. Javan's stuff occupied the large part of the case. We are Kiasu, bringing along all daily necessity, including all his barang barang.

Will see how Javan "fare" for this.

22 Month

It been some time since i last update. So much to write but am a little lost...Am using this milestone chart that i got from fisherprice and update.....

At 22 Month
He is very mobile. He can walk forward, sideways and backward. He can run.
Yes, Javan is able to do...

He can pull a toy on a string or manage a push-a-long.
Yes, He is able to do but dont really like it..his push toy include toy cars..

He can use his feet to scoot along on a cycle.
Have seen him doing that on his FP stride to ride. He likes to place his feet out of the foot rest when he's on his tricycle, guess that's being playful rather than using his feet to scoot along on a cycle

He combines wrist-moving with letting go.
Yes, with his fp shake and go toy car.

He can put any shape in his sorter and throw a ball.
He's able to place most shape on his shape puzzle/shape sorter correctly but still needs improvement on hand eye coordination (not so accurate sometime).

He can put one block on top of another.
We do not have wooden blocks. He's able to stack megabloks and nowadays he's definitly showing lotsa interest in that. Will post picture soon.

He may have a vocabulary of 50 to 200 words. Some weeks he may add lots of new words, others none at all.
We are still waiting for him to 'speak up'.

He is constantly trying and practicing.
Yes, we know that he is trying his best to speak.

He can follow simple directions.
He sure is able to.

Toys that mummy is looking at now:-
Toys that help refine eye-hand coordination
Cars, trucks, trains and other vehicles
Construction and building playsets

He is really more and more clingy to me than before, hiding behind me when there are adult or if somebody is looking at him. He is more and more aware of the surrounding/what is happening. Am certainly worried that he may not want to attend childcare for now especially if mummy is the one who accompanied him.

More and more tantrum throwing now, guess it's because he's unable to express himself. eg. he is pointing to his bear and i thought he wanted me to tell him yes, this is bear bear...instead he meant something which i do not know. He is frustrated when mummy failed to response to his cue.

We are clueless to his behaviour too, Javan loves to scratch Daddy, especially on his face. We know that he take it as playing with Daddy, he does not understand when we ask him not to do it and Daddy is painful instead he pretend to sayang Daddy and scratch him once more and turn away from Daddy. Cheeky boy!

PlayTIme

Colouring
Mummy bought a colouring book for him hoping that he can spend some time colouring rather than running all day long. But guess using crayons is more suitable than colour pencil that i used during my school days (i still keep it!). Im still waiting for the triangular crayons from crayola (Non Toxic) to start him off.

Javan's worried look
Why
is he so worried?!! Coz his little finger is caught in the sticker!
He got the sticker from a container but seriously im not sure how he managed to peeled it off and how it got caught on his little finger?! He kept making noise and followed me (asking me to remove the sticker)

Javan's combing his hair on his own.
(Mummy loves this picture)

Knowing that we are going out, he quickly keep his shoes in the bag for us to bring out. *Good Boy*

Kissing the Handphone

Playtime includes this act, think he wanted to do sumersault but he doesnt has the guts..Haha! or rather he loves to look upside down

He has been carrying the huge cushion on his own and walk around..
Little muscular boy
