Writing

Jvan loves writing and thanks to 干妈妈 for having the patience to teach him how to write. 0-9 and A-Z/a-z. He has been writing daily and has finished some writing books.

Javan write his name and date on his own, apparently he has mixed up the uppercase and lowercase (Eg. JAVAn) also he need to improve on his A. (this picture was taken few wks ago, he's has improved on his A now). There are some words that he's still practicing.

As for the numbers, he's able to write 0-9 all well except for 8.

Fun with Lego

Few weeks ago, Javan built these building on his own, without our help.


Recently Daddy taught him to use bricks to create Block numbers, since he's so obsessed with Blocks that he probably cannot missed it for 1 day. After that i asked him to build some blocks using Lego. But he doesnt have enough Lego bricks at home. So we bought more bricks for him (All bricks).

Playgroup Progress (Comment from Teacher)

Javan is running a fever today, started yesterday early morning. Last night it spike to 39.7, the highest. So we took urgent leave to take care of him.
This morning I took the chance to visit his class, teacher to find out of his progress in class.

Comment from his teacher:
He is a smart boy.
He's observant, he observe and ask teacher question.
He knows lots of things, more than a 3 year old/his peers.
He is constantly asking lots of question to the teacher.
He's talkative, he can talk from the beginning to the end of class.
He doesn't have much patient to play with the toys. It can only last him for a while.
He is not good at fine motor skill, need to improve.
Teacher encourage him to play togther with his classmate, after awhile he lost patience and end up following teacher and asked tonnes of question.
He is not good in matching skill.
Teacher assign him to change the date and day on the calendar as he knows the everyday dates. He even prompt the teacher that today date is not changed, it needs to be change.
He's doing fine in his playgroup.

He able to tell us some of the happening in class after we asked him.
From what we observed, he doesnt like playful kids in his class. Whenever there's any classmate that teacher punished, eg, classmate "A". He will tell us that "A" is notti, doesnt listen to teacher, so teacher punish/scold him/her. So the next day, he will say he doesnt want to go to school coz he do not like "A". :-(
He also able to tell us all of his classmates names correctly.
He's also able to sing more and more song, though we knows that it's not a complete song.

Early morning Scrabble

Javan wakes up at 6.25am this morning. Way too early for me. Was too tired to entertain him. Luckily he insist on playing with the scrabble...

Youtube....on TV??

Last night while watching and listening to song on Mon-Sun on youtube. Out of nowhere, Javan demanded to switch on the DVD, he said he wanted to watch the Mon-Sun on TV, not Youtube. He even cried when we told him that he cant watch on TV coz there's no such DVD at home. He insist that he wants it now. So Daddy took out his laptop to appease him. Finally we manage to explain to him that songs that are on youtube might not be on DVD/VCD. If so, we cannot buy it.

Clock...Telling The Time

I bought this clock (preloved) for Javan. It's neither too hard nor too easy for him. Just right! So he only learn the exact hour and half past time. Eg. 12, Twelve o'clock and 12.30, half past Twelve o'clock. It has 2 mode, Javan move the hour and the minute hand, the clock tells the time. Another is the clock say the time and Javan move the hour and minutes hand, which is more interactive, more fun. He's having fun! He learn it pretty fast. At first we tell him where to move the clock hand, after that he get the hang of it. He's able to tell us half past Twelve is 十二点半.

Weekend at Marina Bay Sand

We went Marina Bay (EW??) as requested by Javan. He has already completed a series of MRT stations. I will try to consolidate and post on my blog. Nevertheless, we got to Marina Bay Sand and got to see the Light and Water Show before we headed for home. It was our first time there. Javan likes it there. He enjoyed himself too! He even demanded to buy candies when we went in 1 of the shop.
