Funtime with Ye Ye

Our cute Yeye in action!

Learn Thru Play

Ive printed Phonics words cards for quite sometime ago. Was planning to slowly go into the phonics home teaching. But forgot all about it when Javan told me he did not want to read when i first showed him.
Recently he found this mickey mouse box in the drawer and took it out and begin reenacting a lift door closing at the MRT stations. So every opening of the lid, he will stuff a phonics word card into the box and say "going uerr" (going up).
So i took the chance to ask him to read all before he starts to stuff the word card into the box. He did read all and wonderfully he knew the pronounciation of all words without us going through. Only "AP", he could not pronounce correctly though he knew it. Coz he could read/pronounce CAP, TAP, GAP correcly.

Wanted to took a video, but everytime was too late. (only mummy is taking pic of him consistently :-()

Junior Doctor

Doctor at Work!!!
I told Javan that i was going to buy him a Doctor set.
He has been asking/bugging to buy. So we brought him to Tom & Stephanie. He choose this set himself. And he enjoyed pretend playing to be a doctor. His patients are his cute soft toy.

Sight Words

My Amazing boy is able to read the list of 220 sight words and 95 Nouns on his own.
Most words are new to him, we are amazed that he is able to read it correcly on his own.
There's one word, "both" that he's unable to articulate well yet. When he's reading "both"..i knew that he's not reading correctly, so i ask him to read again. And i ask him to look at my lips when reading to him. But the sound came out is exactly what he's reading to me. So i know that he's infact reading correctly, but unable to articulte the correct sound.
Anyway almost all words (more than 95%), he's reading well on his own.
My amazing boy did not attend phonics lesson and we did not teach him phonics at home, yet he can read so well (at least to me)before 4 years old (3 year 9 months). We are indeed so PROUD of him.
