Homemade Recycle Lantern

Our first homemade Recycle Lantern for Javan to bring to school today, done by Daddy.

Mid Autumn 2011

We had buffet dinner for Mid Autumn celebration. Javan enjoyed the fried rice and sausages. He had a really big sausage all by himself. Also with the fried fish and chicken fillet.
Program for this year is about the same as the other years. Guess it bored Javan that he keep chanting want to go home and asked me what time are we going home?!
This year lucky draw we won ourselves a 20th prize, which is a $30 NTUC voucher.

Javan likes this 七星彯虫 stirer that he gets from the NEA booth. He choose the pink instead of the blue stirer. Only the pink stirer has 七星彯虫.

Teacher's Day - 2011

It's the very first year that Javan Celebrate Teacher's Day!
I asked Javan if he would like to make a Teachers Day card for Teacher Ivy and Teacher Shirley. He said "Yes"!
So i asked him what he would like to write on the card. He replied "Thank you" "I Love You"
So i cut 2 drawing paper and did my own dotted line and i asked Javan to write on his own. He followed the dotted line and finished the 2 cards in less than 5 mins.

Ive also ordered 2 customised Teachers Day towel for Javan's teacher and also Daddy has added on the flowers.

Speech....

...2 days ago, on 24 Aug 2011. We brought Javan to KKH, ENT for a check up as doctor suspect him having tongue tie. His school teacher had comment that his speech is still not clear. We have notice there's improvement on his clarity of his speech. I would say it's about 70% of clarity as an outsider and about 95% as his Mummy. A 3 year Old boy should have 100% of clarity on his/her speech! I would feel that it's more of articulation Disorder (making sound), also tongue tie would definitely hinder his speech progress if there's really tongue tie. Especially words with an O that he cannot pronounce properly..eg JurOng, Zoo, on... An L would sound like an R as he cannot roll his tongue or lift up his tongue.
Nevertheless, Our little boy is constantly talking non stop with tons of questions asked.

Doctor did not conclude anything on the first visit but there are ear wax which we need to clear before his next visit. On tongue tie, his tongue is long enough but there's a little tongue tie which we may consider surgery.
Glad that Javan is rather coorporative on his checkup, esp on his ear and tongue check. Till our next visit...

Our little Smurfy..On our way to KKH
